Course Overview
The RII20120 Certificate II in Resources and Infrastructure Work Preparation delivers foundational training aligned with real industry needs. This nationally recognised qualification is perfect for individuals wanting to enter the mining, civil, and infrastructure sectors.
Developed in consultation with industry, this program includes a comprehensive mix of theoretical learning, practical training, and safety awareness. Participants will graduate with a job-ready toolkit and clear pathways into further training, apprenticeships, or employment.

Eligibility criteria
- Participants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- For White Card training, proof of WA residency is required
- You must complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) questionnaire before starting
- High school students must have VET Coordinator and parent/guardian approval
- Minimum of 16 years of age recommended
Assessment requirements
To successfully complete the program, participants must demonstrate competency through:
- Practical activities and assessments in simulated work environments
- Theory-based assessments aligned with each unit
- Active participation in both in-class and out-of-class learning
